WTF is going on at Microsoft? Crack? LSD? Hormone Replacement?

My Windows Live Messenger (it’s better than AIM. Shut up.) was recently killed today execution style by an updated version. Not only has it become as slow as AIM, and the advertisement window looks bigger, but its skin and its tabs are all whack. This is some bullshit. Now, instead of being speedy Gonzales compared to AIM when sending an IM it is as slow as a god forsaken copy of Vista on an IBM XT. Just like AIM. Congratulations Microsoft - you re-invented AIM.

This pisses me off. With the otherwise shit that is pumped out of Microsoft, and my own inability to fully understand Linux (I tried for two years. I love Linux. I just have comprehension problems when it comes to compiling my own drivers or knowing if something I did worked. Oh, and it wont play my DVDs with 5.1 surround sound.) I have been fairly satisfied with XP, and MSN Live. I thought MSN Live, until this point, was at least acceptable and tolerable when compared to AIM Sith, I mean, Six.

My biggest bitch is the fact that they dare MOVE THINGS AROUND. I expect the whole “Your MAN buddy it typing” to be in one place, and the “Last Message Sent” in another. NOT IN THE F**KING GOD DAMN WINDOW YOU CRACK HEADS. What did they do? Hire Carol Channing to software develop? I can just hear it now. “I’m sthparticuthhh”. Thank you Ryan Styles.

And WTF do the “display pictures” aka Avatars need to be changed? Now they look like they are in 1950’s TV sets that were half dipped in coffee. And when I change the color of the skin it looks like a blue slushy spilled on it. CAN WE NOT JUST LEAVE THE SKIN ALONE? AND WHY THE BIGGER AD WINDOW? YOU MAKE F**KING BILLIONS WITH YOUR OTHER SHIT.

Bah!

I’m looking for an alternate that has no ads. But I want it to look like my old messenger I grew used to. Seriously, I like change, but this kind of change is just retarded.

You should try Jabber, then you can choose a client that you like. jabberlive.org (there are other servers, that’s the one I use) supports gateways, so you can still use your MSN account through the jabber network.
